Small Moments Tell Big Stories
Photography is made up of small moments in time. Some of them you can plan and some of them you can’t. The best part of taking photos is when a genuine moment in time makes its way through the posed shots and scripted daily grind. The euphoria and tragedy of sports. The joy of a couple and a child. A secret service agent staring you down. When all the little things come together to tell a story it feels good.

A feature about the Zappn team included a photo I did of their launch event.

Kansas City In A Dream
There are times where different elements come together to form a perspective that is unique to that specific moment in that specific time. Every once in a while I am lucky enough to snap at such a moment. In this day in age it sometimes feel shocking to focus on a single still image.

Finucane Wedding
Had a great time at Brian + Carly’s wedding. There were so many people just letting loose and having a great time. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was really up tempo.
Enjoying these kinds of special moments with people is one of the best parts of my job!
Zappn Launch Party
Friday found me amongst a lot of great people. Kansas City based company Swindlr put on a launch party of their new event focused social networking service Zappn. The Swindlr crew did a fantastic job putting this thing together, I am glad I was there to snap some shots. Some of the photos are below, you can see the full set from the event on the new ZCPhotography Facebook page. All the best to Chase, Brock, Chris and the rest of the Swindlr team as their vision grows and develops.
New Website + Facebook Page Goodness
Hardcore ZCPhotography fans noticed the website was down for a little while. I took some time out to update the portfolios and arrange all the content for this new look with its own blog. This way ZCPhotography is never stale someone can be updated and see what is going on with new shots of Kansas City, portrait sessions, and general photography info.
Also take the time to check out some of the social media destinations especially the new Facebook Page that you can click on and become a fan of. There is also a Flickr page to check out photos and my personal Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.
Thank you everyone for your tremendous support of ZCPhotography. It has been such a fun journey. I have been able to shoot pro sports teams and US Senators as well as being lucky enough to be a part of special moments in people’s lives.
Keep your support up. Tell people about the work I am doing here! Keep tuning in for more blog posts.
