Big Things About To Be Released…
I have not forgotten about you folks.
This site has not been updated in a while but that doesn’t mean things are not brewing behind the scenes because it has been quite the opposite. There have been great gigs, a magazine cover shoot, and one of my photos tapped by a huge University just in the past month. But the big news is a business partnership and a new studio coming from it. We are close (I promise!) to releasing the website and new plans for Westside Studio. A partnership between Simon Kuo and I.
With a new partner and new facilities to work I will be able to take on more kinds of work with bigger clients. We have spent the last few days getting our equipment and studio in order. This is such an exciting feeling…I hope all of you will support Westside Studio just like you have been supporting me these past few years.
Stay tuned.

Sometimes being a photographer is fun because you can relax and be goofy. Dan, Traci, Miller, and Megan were lots of fun to shoot. We were out in Blue Springs where I grew up. As more work pops up in different spots of the metro I realize I need to canvas more of the suburbs for good spots. Megan gets the award for being the most eager to be in front of the camera as anyone I have ever seen. Thanks for the fun time folks!

Plastic Surgery Photo Shoot
I recently worked on a project that had a plastic surgery office as a client. They required fresh imagery for the overhaul of their website. With the help of the staff we set up a mock surgery in an actual operating room. The end product showed doctors at work in a clean professional manner. Below are a set of photos from the shoot. A few of them made the website while some others are photos that didn’t really fit in with the goal of this job but are compelling. My business partner Kristi took a snapshot of me all dressed up in the required attire for the operation room. Hilarity.

Taking Photos Of People Taking Photos??
If you take enough pictures in enough situations tendencies start to show. My business partner Simon has given me a hard time because it seems as though whenever I photograph groups of people I am drawn to people who are themselves taking pictures. Who knows why, I think it is an interesting perspective I suppose. So in honor of Simon I pulled some recent shots where I noticed myself doing it.
Photographers, are you drawn to a specific scene or setting without being cognizant of it?
